Compare the 2012 Chevrolet Cruze vs Other Years

As mentioned earlier, there are no significant changes as it relates to the physical features of the 2012 Chevrolet Cruze compared to the previous version. The only change that was observed between the previous years model and this years model is, price.

The MSRP of the 2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS, 1LT, Eco, and LTZ trim has increased compared to that of the previous year while the MSRP of the 2LT has gone down.

Compare the 2012 Chevrolet Cruze Styles

Just like the previous year’s model, the 2012 Chevy Cruze is currently offered in 5 major trims. This includes the LS, 1LT, Eco, 2LT, and the LTZ. These trims are equipped with 4-cylinder engines and 4 of those are turbocharged.

The only trim with a regular engine is the LS. This version makes use of the 1.8L 4 cylinder engine which is mated to a standard six-speed manual transmission. The six-speed automatic transmission is offered as an optional upgrade for this trim. Due to this, buyers are given the chance to select which of the two types of transmissions are best suited for their driving needs.

The remaining trims are powered by a 1.4L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. Just like the LS, the engine of the 1LT, Eco, and 2LT is mated to a standard 6-speed manual transmission and the automatic is offered as an optional upgrade. The LTZ trim also uses the same turbocharged engine, but is only offered with a standard 6-speed automatic transmission.
