Best Convertibles Sold Below $45,000

Convertibles have always been a popular type of vehicle in the US as well as in some parts of the globe. Unfortunately the demand for convertibles was partially affected by the increasing number of vehicles that are equipped with air conditioning units and moon-roofs that allow the car occupants to experience riding a vehicle wherein they could see the sky above them without the need to remove the car’s roof.

However, this trend doesn’t mean that the car makers would totally place their production of convertibles to a halt since many buyers still want to buy their own convertibles. Due to this, a lot of car manufacturers have started producing convertibles that are quite affordable. Most of them have already introduced a number of models that are sold below $45,000. Among the most popular of these are the following.

1. Nissan 370Z

The Nissan 370Z convertible is one of the best models that are sold below the $45,000 range. It is currently sold at a starting price of $40,050 for the Base model and this could go as high as $42,750 for the Touring version. The Nissan 370Z is propelled by a 3.7-liter V-6 engine that pumps out up to 332 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft. of torque. The engine is mated to standard 6-speed manual transmission. In addition to this, Nissan is offering a number of optional features and packages for this model. However, a buyer needs to spend an additional amount of money in order to obtain these features and improve the vehicle’s overall performance.

2. Chevrolet Camaro SS

The Chevrolet Camaro SS is also an impressive and popular convertible that is sold at a price below $45,000. The latest version of the Camaro SS is currently offered for sale with an MSRP of $38,330. By spending as much as $38,000, a buyer is given the chance to own a vehicle which is powered by a 6.2-liter V-8 engine mated to a standard 6-speed manual transmission or an optional 6-speed automatic transmission.  The V-8 engine generates up to 426 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque.  The Chevrolet Camaro SS could easily sprint from 0 to 60 miles per hour in 5 seconds.

3. Ford Mustang GT

The latest version of the Ford Mustang GT as well as some of its predecessors is considered as one of the iconic convertible models that were offered for sale in the US and in other parts of the world. But despite of its iconic image, the Ford Mustang GT is still sold at a cheaper price. It is currently offered for sale with a price of $35,300. This powered by a 5.8-liter V-8 engine which is connected to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
