Land Rover New Car Invoice Pricing, Financing and Dealerships

Land Rover LR2 is being launched in November and will be available in the dealer showrooms in spring 2007. The new Land Rover LR2 is a premium car, a compact SUV. The car has a superior performance, both on and off the road, and combines luxury with comfort. It replaces the slow-selling model, Freelander sport-ute and offers a bigger and more powerful SUV. With the fuel price going up, LR2 has to do much in projecting the whole notion of downsized utes with full-sized off-road capability. The compact luxury SUV segment is predicted to grow as large as 500,000 units a year.

Unlike the Freelander, the LR2 is said to combine the advantages of a premium car in the ways that it features, a polished ride with an accomplished performance, an attractive cabin and ease of use. Further the car has been classified as one, having go-anywhere capability, stadium seating, toughness, a versatile cabin, and the spacious inside.

The Land Rover LR2 derives its visual styling from the Range Rover Sport with a hint of the passing resemblance with Ford Freestyle, the Honda CR-V and even the outgoing Freelander. The car is more thicker and more grounded, when compared with its delicate predecessor. The LR2 has a dynamic look from its head-on view, with its filigreed grille, framed by a heavy curl bar and the head lamps are composed of staggered lamps like the Range Rover.

From technical point of view, the LR2 is fitted with a 3.2 liter ‘in-line six’ engine, which not only delivers power combined with fuel economy, but has been designed for ideal smooth ride as well. The acceleration of this 230 bhp engine provides 0 - 60 mph in 8.4 seconds and is matched with a new 6-speed automatic transmission with the option of Land rover's CommandShift manual transmission when required. The new unit in LR2 mounts transversely providing improved interior packaging and safety performance. The LR2 is expected to achieve 25 miles per gallon.

The LR2 has formidable interior package and features generous head, shoulder and legroom in both the front and rear. The car has stadium seating with the rear seats placed higher than the front for better view. The large glass area in the car provides a feel of spaciousness and compliments the elevated command driving position which has been a Land Rover hallmark. The cargo space measures at 59 cu. ft, with the rear seats folded and 26.5 cu ft with the rear seats in their normal position. This appears to be the best in its class of cars.  It has roll stability control to prevent the car from rolling over.

Other features in LR2 will include a keyless start button, rain sensitive wiper system, bi-xenon head lamps, rear park distance control and adaptive front lighting. The audio system of the car includes a 12-speaker Dolby Pro Logic II 7.1 surround sound system. Optionally, the car offers a DVD satellite navigation system.
