The 2007 Infiniti M45 is much better than in previous years.  They are available with a V8 engine.  Something that isn’t optional for the M35.  Two models are available in the M45, the standard M45 and M45 Sport. They are priced starting at $47,360 and $50,160 respectively and go up with options.  One bad thing is the M45 and M45 Sport are just the counterparts of the M35, in the V8.  But since the M series is a very nice luxury sedan, it shouldn’t bother too many people.

The M45 engine is a 4.5-liter DOHC 32-valve V8 that has 335 horsepower. Enough to satisfy any power enthusiast for a luxury sedan.  However, it does require high-octane fuel, which in these times of high gas prices might make the M45 not as popular.  It is managed by a five-speed manually interactive automatic transmission.  This gives those who prefer a manual still have fun and drive a wonderfully engineered vehicle. 

The interior of the M45 is as beautiful as the M35.  Rosewood finish for trim, leather seats with lumbar support and adjustment, Bose six-speaker audio system with a 6-disc in dash stereo and MP3 player.  Other standard features include a glass moonroof, two-setting memory for the steering wheel, driver’s seat, and mirrors. Very nice for when someone borrows the car and changes everything without asking. The M45 also comes with a push-button Intelligent Key system. It also has a voice-activated climate control, stereo control, and telephone control for cell phones with Bluetooth technology. 

For those with younger children, a rear DVD entertainment system complete with wireless headset and remote is available. The front navigational screen can also view the movie when the sedan is in park.  And if wanted a full-size spare tire can be purchased.  Four different packages are available to upgrade the M45 to the owners’ desires.  Of course, even those four are separated when you look at the Journey package that is different for the Sport model versus the regular model.

 Safety has not been ignored either in the M45. Standard features are four-wheel anti-lock ventilated disc brakes; stability and traction control systems, front dual-stage air bags, front side-impact airbags, and front and rear side-curtain airbags, as well as a first aid kit if there is an emergency.  And for even more safety options available are a preview braking system, intelligent cruise control, and a lane departure warning system.
