The 2007 Hyundai Entourage is a minivan like no other. Having been unveiled at the Chicago Car Show on February 8th, it has unsurpassed safety, quality, and convenience for a minivan. It is the first in the Hyundai line to have a third hideaway row, which will offer seating for up to seven passengers. The Entourage will have Hyundais unrivaled warranty as well as air curtain safety for all three rows of seating, making it a better value than its biggest competition, the Honda Odyssey. And it will be about $1,500 less fully loaded, making it a better value for all that the buyer will get.

The Entourage will come in three trim packages, GLS, which will be highly equipped for a minivan, SE, a high value vehicle, and premium Limited. It is a full-size vehicle in a mini package being 202 inches long and 78 inches wide, giving it an interior volume of 172 cubic feet. This is more room than the Honda Odyssey as well. Because of the Entourages safety bags and side curtains, it is thought it will earn a top-five rating for front and side impacts.

All Entourages will come standard with Electronic Stability Control, an industry life-saving technology that compares the vehicles actual response to the driver’s intended course. Hyundai will now have five vehicles with this feature. The 2007 Entourage will have three-point seatbelts and adjustable head restraints. The front seating restraints will help prevent whiplash in a rear collision. The Entourage will also have Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children, or LATCH, points so that child seats can be safely secured in the second and third row. And to make parents feel even more secure in their minivan, the 2007 Entourage will be equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system that will alert the driver if any tire is under inflated.

The newest feature of a Hyundai minivan will be dual sliding rear doors with power windows. It will also have a foldaway center table with four cupholders as a standard feature. Climate control for all rows of seating is also standard. Having a V6 engine, the Entourage will have more power than the Ford Freestar, Chevrolet Uplander, or Dodge Caravan, and will still be a low emissions vehicle. The engine will be a 5-speed automatic with Hyundai's SHIFTRONIC manual control feature for those who need a minivan but crave their stick shift. With all these features the 2007 Hyundai Entourage is sure to change the face of minivans.
