Chevrolet New Car Invoice Pricing, Financing and Dealerships

The 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche will be like its predecessor in that it's sure to sell great. The vehicle that came on the scene in 2001 as part SUV, part truck, it turned heads and made people take another look at Chevy. Being able to fold down the backseat for longer items, it was a new innovation not seen before in a truck. And now it's been redesigned for 2007, it has a new interior, new platform, and new look that Chevy hopes will spur even more interest and sales of its creation. It will hit dealers this spring with three trim packages available; the LS, LT, and LTZ.

All three models will have four-wheel or all-wheel drive, so it will be able to go anywhere the driver desires and get around in the inclement weather easily. Later in the year a Z71, off-road package will be available. The 2007 Avalanche models will come with a 5.3-liter V8 that will switch from 8 cylinders to 4 seamlessly to save on fuel. In this time of high gas prices that is a nice feature to have in a truck. Later in the year a 6.0-liter V8 will be offered as well.

The Avalanche will be a four-speed automatic transmission for both engines, and have the same maximum towing capacity. The greatest new feature of the 2007 Avalanche is that the bed is now two inches longer. Now with the Midgate open with the rear seat folded, the Avalanche can carry a 4 by 8 sheet of plywood with the tailgate up. Another new feature is the availability of Ultrasonic Rear Parking Assist. This uses a rearview mirror camera for a safer backup experience. Additional features will be the StabiliTrack control system standard and head-protection side curtain airbags will be optional.

The 2007 Avalanche is also the newest vehicle in the Chevy lineup to be able to run on E85, which is a blend of 85 percent ethanol and 15 percent gasoline. This is a great homegrown corn alternative to normal fuel. There will also be more room in the cab for the driver and front seat passengers. The bad thing is that GM has not announced pricing for this redesigned truck. So some may have sticker shock when pricing is announced but that may not deter anyone from purchasing one with all the new features Chevy is unveiling for the 2007 Avalanche.
