In order to describe the visual elements that differentiates between the new S8 from the A8, it can be said that while the older version of S8 was totally in built for the taste of the Germans, the new S8 falls within the tastes of the Germans and the Americans as well. The new S version luxury car is much bolder, sportier and more audacious than its older version. The S8 is Audi’s biggest sedan.

To look for the specialty in S8 one has to look at its interior. The heated seats are covered with top spec leather, having a choice of single or two-tone. These seats have six settings. The headliner is made of Alcantara synthetic suede. The S8 offers carbon fiber trim for the dashboard, console and door panels. The most dramatic distinguishing part is under the hood of the car, where Audi has their first ever V-10 engine, adapting one from Lamborghini's Gallardo. This enables Audi to enlarge from 5.0 liters to 5.2 liters, with 10-cylinders, 444 hp at 7,000 rpm and 398 lb-ft of torque. The car hits 60 mph in 5 minutes and the top speed is limited to 150 mph by electronic control, and it is unmistakably faster than a standard A8. When we punch the engine-start button and take a trolling through the city, the V-10 engine is appreciable from Audi's 4.2 liter V-8. The six speeds S8 has an ultra smooth gear changing operation, with none of the jerks usually found in auto-shifted manuals. One feels relaxed with its light steering, despite it being quicker off-centre having a steering ratio which is 10% quicker. The car is a rear-biased Quattro 4-wheel drive.

Amongst the features, this sports sedan features a Bose audio system, a card key, an air conditioner with a 4-zone automatic climate control and the unique multimedia interface along with a 7 inch screen. The car steering wheel has a memory system which recognises the driver with a fingerprint scan. The new S8 wears the usual family grill at the front. There running LED lights ‌lined horizontally next to the bumper. It has alloy steel wheels; measuring 20 inches, with 20 inch rubber tyres around unique seven-spoke wheels similar to those found on the upcoming RS4. The car has aluminum trimmed door handles and mirror housings. In the rear of this car, one finds 4 oval tailpipes, a lip spoiler and an S8 badge on the power closing trunk lid.

The S8 is available in all colours as A8 and one colour - Daytona Grey Pearl.
